Q&A related to AmigaOne

My machines really unstable and I have a Catweasel plugged in.
How do I know what CPU I have without removing the fan from the CPU?
Can I read my old floppy disks with OS4 on the AmigaOne?
How do I find out which version of U-Boot I have?
Can I have a blue A1 motherboard instead of a green one?

My machines really unstable and I have a Catweasel plugged in.
With the Update1 the Catweasel causes OS4 to crash randomly, the cause isnt quite known yet but a fix will be worked on.

How do I know what CPU I have without removing the fan from the CPU?
If you have linux running go to "Info Center" (found in the system menu if using KDE), I'm sure AOS4 will tell you too with showconfig.

Can I read my old floppy disks with OS4 on the AmigaOne?
No, the AmigaOne has a standard PC-style controller and will not
read standard Amiga format floppies. There is a piece of
hardware called the CatWeasel which will allow you to read these
if you need to, but will not magically make old non-installable
floppy-based games work. (NB: the OS4 pre-release does not
contain any support for floppy disk drives)

How do I find out which version of U-Boot I have?
Press a key to interrupt the boot process, and the version will
be printed in the first line of the display. Alternatively,
type "version" at the U-Boot command prompt.

Can I have a blue A1 motherboard instead of a green one?
That's just stupid.
