Welcome to IntuitionBase.com, this site is here to provide all the information you may require to learn about and use an AmigaOne with OS4. You will find information about all the different models of AmigaOne that are currently available. You'll also find information on compatible hardware, available software, as well as some information and screenshots about AmigaOS4.

Originally founded by Darren "Ryu" Glenn, the goal of the site is to collect and compile information related to hardware and software for AmigaOS 4.x. In 2023, ownership of the site was transitioned to George "walkero" Sokianos, who shares the same goal for the site.

The site was created after the founder got tired having to visit several websites when seeking information about AmigaOS 4.x hardware and software during the early days after the launch of AmigaOS 4.0. A friend of the original founder, Andy Hall, was creating a website as a proof of concept for a university project at the time and had no plans to create an actual website with it. Andy graciously offered the use of his project code, and IntuitionBase.com was born.

The name was chosen by Andy Hall, based on IntuitionBase which is used to open the intuition library when coding. The founder liked the name, so it stuck.

The Team

Over the years, there has been a large group of individuals who have assisted with the site, not to mention the countless AmigaOS users who contributed information along the way.

Some of those past staff members include:

• Darren "Ryu" Glenn, founder of the site.
• Eldee "Eliyahu" Stephens, who took over the updating of the site from Darren
• Antti Korhola handled most of the PHP and SQL work.
• John Nelson provided coding support
• Jonathan Haddock assisted with the coding as well as the data input
• Nick Night, Russell Glover and Robert Cranley were there at the start of the site and helped get it off the ground
• Andy Hall provided graphics
• Chris Young assisted with some of the original AmigaOne content
• Kevin Twyman provided proofreading on the site
• John Klos and Elaine Walker assisted with the domain name and web space
• Hans-Joerg Freiden was kind enough to allow use of some screenshots of AmigaOS4.0
