Motorola 68040 CPU
Military Specification
Perhaps the most revered of the classic Amiga CPUs, the Motorola 68040. This is my rendition of a mystical variety known as the 'Military Specification' chip. Often discussed on Amiga sites, but rarely seen, I personally doubt its existance, but then what do I know. I'm an artist not a computer nerd! If you know different, please let me know and I'll update this item.
The chip has gold plated pins, which here have been polished a little. I used Photogenics to sharpen up LightWave's antialiasing around the pins nearest the Camera (this render had a 17-pass AA treatment).
